I surfed a little bit on the net, and - as unbeliveable as it is - i found several different formulas.
Apperantly, scientists wants to put everything in equatation.
(I found also an article about a mathmatical formula of LOVE - this formula tried to modelize different scenarios of love - depending on how much emotion/romance is involved, also, running the logic in case of 1 mistress or even in case of more... Twisted minds...)

Anyway,s back to the mathematical formula of happiness.

The main ones:
H = R/E
That is:
Happiness = Reality / Expectations

So, to increase one being happy, you need to either improve your present, or lower your expectations. :)

Bulit by a similar logic:
H = R/N
Happiness = Resources / Needs

Or:
H = S + C + V
Happiness = Biological set + Conditions + Voluntary activities

Last:
Happiness = P + 5XE + 3XH

For this, we need a simple paper and pen - you need to answer 4 simple question by scoring each according to how true is it for you: 1 - being not at all - 10 totally true for me

1. Are you outgoing, energetic, flexible and open to change?
2. Do you have a positive outlook, bounce back quickly from setbacks and feel that you are in control of your life?
3. Are your basic life needs met, in relation to personal health, finance, safety, freedom of choice and sense of community?
4. Can you call on the support of people close to you, immerse yourself in what you are doing, meet your expectations and engage in activities that give you a sense of purpose?

Than:
- add the score of the first 2 questions - the result will be "P"
- the 3rd question stands for "E"
- 4th one for "H"

So, now, put the numbers there:
Happiness = P + 5XE + 3XH
Max is 100.

What is your score? :) How happy are you?

Btw... I dont know, if it is only me... but 5XE - i could read it as SEX ;)

So here is my - very scientific formula -

H = F + S + S + M

Happines = Friends + Snow + Sun + Mountains ;)
Based on my last weekend - in France.
Oh boy! What a weekend! :)
More picture to come - once i also get them from the main organizer :)

Stay tuned.. I feel more active for further notes :)

bisous

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_XakJNdsXz7s/S3nFwxy7STI/AAAAAAAABR0/gYMoM9qEmFE/s320/P1090756.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438595466817915186" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_XakJNdsXz7s/S3nFwl1qjlI/AAAAAAAABRs/ur2ENCDzvss/s320/P1090849.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438595463608176210" />Havashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01923215722326180840noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7013211791759369267.post-3107648331058460252009-11-08T01:31:00.003+01:002009-11-08T01:59:17.035+01:00OctoberOctober is always the worst - but still somehow the best - period during the year.
Let me explain.

October is the busiest, we are closing the old fiscal year, and starting the new one. This means, we have to prepare for the sales letters to be released before end of November.
This year, however, we had an even more agressive readiness plan, countries have 3 weeks to release the letters to the sales force.

On the other hand though, this rush, the stress, the ongoing movements, the long office hours (with ordering pizza in), the continous phonecalls, meetings, trackings, that's what it all makes it so great.
Ok, I am not saying that it is not awful, but i like it... i like it more comparing to the days when there is nothing good to do.

So, work.
October is all about work.
I had my 4th contract started Noember. It was uncertain what i am going to do after December.

I went to interiews, I got job offers, in poland, in Wien, in Ireland... not just from HP, but from companies outside...
There was also one quite good and serious in Geneva too...

Everybody was suggesting me, i should just go for it, and leave HP behind...
Howev,er somehow, i just can not do that.
It is a love&hate relationship.
Sometimes I could just stand up and run away, leave my boss behind, and leave the whole thing in a deep shit... but who deosn't feel it from time to time at work?

It is however strange, I admit, that they first can not offer me any position. Than - out of nowhere - exceptionally, I could get a contract for 2 months! 2 months!!! I am that idiot that i take it, so yes, i deserve what i get.
Than, they offered me a position in Poland!!???!!
In Poland?? I mean, why not than back in Hungary???
What's the difference?? Seriously... They thought I would take everything...

Than, exactly on the same day when i had my extrnal interview, and it was obvious that they want me and i also liked them a lot, on exactly that day, my boss was telling me, that ever since he otld me there is no way i can stay with this team, he was devasteted, and he was so sad, so he was fighting for me, for me to stay... so i should be happy and grateful, that he was fighting for me a lot... as a headcount..

ààààà

so, those political games.. i dont like...
you are either good at what you do or not.
the rest is politics.. which.. unfortunatly.. part of the game.
So yes.. don't hate the players, hate the game...
but...
it is a vicious circle, the players determine the game...
aawhh

anyways, if recent hirings happens.. than life will be very very strange at work..
And i keep on asking myself what did i do.. why did i deserve that?
If that is charma.. than i really should apologize for all my mistakes...

But... bottomline is: I accepted the 2 year contract, I am happy. but also I think this is the minimun, and i think of it as an other chance, an opportunity to finish and accomplish my goals, why i came to switzerland at the first place. (hm. afterall, sth sticked out of those aiesec years... ;))

Also, October was special, as my childhood friend (our friendship just turned 18.. ;)) and her boyfriend visited me :)
It was so good to see them.

And you know, when you are spending lots of times with married people, you keep on thinking marriage is missing from your life, than when you are spending lots of times with single ones, you keep on thinking, partying is cool...anyways, so it was just great to see them together, couple. spenidng some really good time together... having fun, long discussions.. so yes, it was fun :)
Missed you Reka!!!! Can't wait for that hot wine... ;)

Guess what... : Gruyeres... love that place ;)
I have been there like 6 times.. or more :)

<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; They are the real friends, because they want you to grow...
they might shock you at first by telling you the truth that deep down you knew as well, just somehow didn't want to realize, but later -if you are not that stubborn - you do realize who is right. ;)

I do want to repeat it... ;)

Can't wait for December, for an extended fivesome ;)

Havashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01923215722326180840noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7013211791759369267.post-8606376394148907232009-11-07T23:08:00.004+01:002009-11-07T23:47:47.355+01:00JulyHello, hello...

Yes, I am sill alive.. i know i haven't been active for ... erhm... 4 months!!!

Sorry for that.. really...
it was just summer time, than a little crisis, i had to get through, but now it is all settled, i am fine, just fine.
So, november Saurday night, and i am at home as a couchpotato.. even if my friends try to convince me to get my big ass out for a few drinks.. but there is no such a thing as "just for 1 drink...".

so, instead, i can write until Megavideo lets me in again to watch Lie to me... (10 more minutes.. ;))

July - was amazing...

I went to TUNISIA!!!!

It was sooo great! I really missed Julia, and it was soo great to see her, catch up on 7 months of dramas, funny and hialrious stories, gossips, work and everything. I missed that a lot.
And, of course, I needed that couple of days alone, out of Europe. ;)

Arrived Thrusday night, went for the best choxcoale thing in Tunis, tried to talk a little, but some guy was hiting on us - Julia was extra cool - as usual, so it was fun ;)

Than Friday, the girls went to work, I stayed at home a little, than decided to go to do some siteseeing.

Well.. i felt like "Szucsi vagyok Dombovarrol"...
Like when a little girl from a village ends up in the capital, gets out of a taxi and looks up and around -. all surrounded by skyscrapers...
Only that in Tunis, I was surrounded by yellow cabs, arab people, arab culture.
Still it was fun.
Of course julia told me everybody goona ripp me off, as it is sooo bovious that i am a stupid naiv tourist, who doesn't even speak french... ;)
However, what they didn't know is... that i got trained in Morocco. ;)
I was acing so cool :)
at least that's what i thought... anyways..
unis was fun and i was nice.

Than in the evening, we went for a party at Julia's friends place. Visit??!! One of the best vacations I had since a long long time. :)

Planning - yes, everything started with the planning. First of all, we just wanted to go with Eszter for a weekend, to check Casablanca, go to the desert for camel trekking, than back to Geneva. However, 2 girsl in Africa... well... we decided we need a MAN... so asked Andras to join us. But of course for him, to have a look at the return of invest... it had to be extended from a long weekend to a 10 days excursion, visiting the imperial cities, and the ocean as well.
I have to sa,y after I saw the detailed agenda, with the budget in an excel.. i was like: No way... I am not going to get up before 9 on my vacation.. nooo waaay!!! But than the guys convinced me. :)
I will write down my experiences, and some suggestions for future visitors - as if there are sooo many people interested in this :)

1. day: Fying Geneva - Casablanca

Who cares, that our airplane was: jet4you, a never heard charter company... who actually borrowed the airplane from hello! - from an also very well known swiss company.
The ticket was reasonably cheap, however, we could have got it cheaper, if we had bought the tickets a bit ealrier than March. The flight took 3 hours, and as we entered to a different timezone, overall it took only 1 hour.
At the Casablanca airport, we had to get some money. It is prohibited to have dirhams before. Well, it turned out, that it would have been better just using an ATM to get some cash, instead of exchanging swiss franc or euros.

The taxi from Casablanca airport to Casablanca center was 300 MAD. We didn't even tried bargaining. Actually, we asked.. but they were very strong, and told us this is the general price at night.

At Hotel Central in Casablanca, we hada really adventorous experience. The receptionist was high like a kite, than our room was dirty, musty and small... so we asked for a change, the one on the roof - at least, it was better ;)

2. day Fez

After we managed to rent a car, we were heading to Fez - to the city where the King is living, population is 1 million. Actually Fez has become a tourist destination in the recent years, which I can totally understand. It has soo much to offer.. and actually, we didn't see enough.

As soon as we entered to the city, one big guy, wearing pink -shirt, on a small small scooter has just followed us -. started knocking on our car window, and shouted at us: "Hotel, hotel reservation". We tried to explain him that we already had a reservation, we don't need anything, only a guide.
Well, it turned out, he has a "brother", who actually speaks English, and he will show us around.
Well... yes.
Travelers or tourists? 0 -1 - definitly typicall stupid tourists. :)

We ended up at the Hotel, he recommended, but no regret at all, the place was amazing! really beautiful treasure in Fez - New Fez.

Actually, this shows, that even if you don't have hotel reservation beforehead, you can just go there and find something. It is pretty nice.

Abdol - our guide was a young, 22-year old arabic, who was about to study medicine and become a brainsurgent. n the meantime, he was ahowing us the Medina in Fez. We could get lost in the souq, the closed market. The streets of Fez's Medina is part of the World's Heritage. It has 9000 streets, oftenblind ones... so it is really handy to have a guide. Though, it might be that when oyu enter to a shop with an official guide, the prices raise high, due to his commissions.

Well.. we could not know everything. :)

In Fez, we also saw the leather district, and the factory where all those mosaique fontains are made. Really beautiful.

In the evening, Abdol took us to a fantastic, finger-licking dinner. Copious Moroccan dinner!
Seriuolsy, only the starter would have been enough. ;)

During our stay in Fez, they had the prestigous music festival. It was fun walking around the people.

3. day Middle Atlas - Fez - Merzouga -Erg Chebbi

This 460 km was truly the best part of our trip. Maybe, because all the panorama was still new for us, or just simply because in the Middle Atlas, after each turn you could find different view ofthe environment: a hidden oazis, picturesque red stone mountains, palmeries, date trees, etc.
Ifrane, Ziz Valley really beautiful places. ;)

Seriuosly, if we didn't have to hurry to catch our appointment with the barbar's for the camel trekking, we could have spent 1 night somewhere inbetween, just to truly enjoy the view and the way down to Merzouga. Actually, in Erg Chebbi, the guides were really nice and they were waiting for us, so we could stop for taking breathtaking photos.

We stopped in Midelt - just to fresh up a little. Well, Midelt is really dangerous, and there is nothing to see/visit. We only stopped for a quick lunch, but already false stones were offered. Terrible. We literally had to fly for our lives. ;)

In Merzouga, there is not much to see, that's why we went directly to Erg Chebbi. The people of the Hotel were really nice. Before Merzouga, there is a small - few km- offroad, we have to take, to reach the beginning of the desert. The hotel stuff came upfront to us, and we could follow the 4*4 witho our normal car. But there was no issue with that.

Of course, all the people were really nice, they offered us mint tea, and we could fresh up a little, before our camel trekking.

Oh boy! The camel trekking was ok, fantastic to see Algeria, the yellow/orangish sand dunes, everything.

But the best was, when after dinner, we went up to one of the dunes to see the stars, the moon, and we were scruching our toes into the Sahara, where the moon was shining, the sky was covered by millions of stars, amazing!

To tell you the truth, it was a really moving part, I could feel an inner peace, and really it was a very great hour of my life. :) I was thinking a lot there... a good meditation place. :)

We slept under the blue sky, and woke up at 5 to climb a bigger dune to watch the sunset for there.

Unfortunetly it was a bit cloudy and windy. But I still really enjoyed it. ;)

4. day High Atlas - Merzouga - Tinerhir - Gorge Todra

After returning from the desert, we could take a shower, and than after chilling at the hotel - mint tea and drums - we were heading to Tinerhir, to Gorge Todra.

The way in the High Atlas was also really nice, but we expected much more, after saw Middle Atlas. Anyways, we arrived to our hotel in Tinerhir, and had a wonderful late lunch.
Unfortunatly, the weather was not that nice, so we couldn't start hiking in the Todra, only managed to visit the village.
Well... how shall I say that? The most agressive carpet sellers, really lots of small children begging for a stilo or for anything else.. really .. not the best experience.

Not to mention, that almost everybody felt sick... so... we didn't really do a lot.. just chilling and eating ;)

5. day Gorge Todra - Dades Valley - Oarzazate

The next day we were up to some hiking. 4 hours hiking in Gorge Todra. This is a very good mountain to climb , also for professional climbers. For us, it was a nice hike, visiting a nomad family accepting the mint tea there, seeing a 14.member family living in a tent, not knowing how old the girl was, not knowing the time, the date, the month they were. Truly a different world.

After freshing up at the hotel, and having again a very luxuriant lunch, we were heading to Oarzazate.

Before that we had a D-tour in the Dades Valley, in the Dades Gorge by car. Beautiful again, however, the hairpin bands made my day a little... ;)

6. day Marrakesh - Ait Benhaddou

The next day, we were heading towards Marrakesh. Before, we stopped in Ait Benhaddou - the palce that insipred several famous directors, for example the Gladiator were filmed here with Russel Crowe!!!
Well, I have to say the place is better in the guide books, but still worth visiting it. :)

Than we arrived to Marrakesh, where, unfortunatly Eva had to leave us, as she - as usual - had to go somewhere else.. actually to India for a business trip ;)

This girl is just amazing!!! Full of energy and always on the roads!!! :P

We managed to have a little look at the caotic central market of Marrakesh, and had a very good dinner again ;)

7. day Marrakesh

Our accomodation was in the best Riad I think. The location was a bit dangerous, specially in the night, but after a couple of getting éost in the medina, we found it quiet easily. ;)
The owner is a morrocan woman with a german husband. ;) They are soo lovely and funny. :)

The room was really a 5star, and the service was also great.
The best, is however the roof of the riad. What a night! :)

Marrakesh is exactly as I imagined, full of people, full of caos, the central market with its 3 MAD freshly squeezed orange juice.. oh boy!! ;)

All the sellers, with bargaining, and negotaiting, and nobody knows where Hungary is... ooooh boy!!! So much fun, so great!
We did some sightseeing trip and had lots of fun.

Than, at the evening, we went out to a bar/club, had lots of fun, meet with local people. Really great. ;)

And again... the roof of the riad.. is just... unreciteable ;)

8. day Marrakesh - Essaouria

We left the car in Marrakesh, so after that we had to rely on public local transportation and taxis.

Aslo, it meant, that we were finished with the traveling, it was all about chilling.

During our way to Eassaouria, we had to stop, and we saw a really funny guy with his instrument, singing and enjoying himself. It weas hillarious!

Essaouria is next to the ocean, and agin, Andras didn't really feel well, so we left only the 2 of us, with Eszter, visited the port, the beach, the medina. We met a local cool guy, who likes to be called Delphino. ;) You can imagine, a blackish guy, full of muscle, acting as if he is really the local god, very cool guy. ;)
But, hey, he was fun, but a bit childish, and gets pissed off easily... specially when things are not happening as he expected.

But he dances well. ;)

In the evening, we sent Andras to hammam, so he can enjoy it a little. The strong massage from a huge black guy helped him... apperantly.

9. day Essaouria - Villa

The next day, we also went to a hammam... well... our experience were different than Andras'. But we also enjoyed it.
That's true, hammam is there for the arab women to wash, clean, and aslo clean thier souls. Still.. it was interesting to sit where the other women wher bruhing their teeth.. anyways, we dont talk about this.

After this, we left our accommodation and went to a Villa.
Oh boy! That accommodation.. was just amazing!!!
Really beautiful, and a bit remote... offside of Essaouria, but still worth it.
The whole place were ours.

10. day Essaouria - Casablanca

Than, we went back to Essaouria, had some chilling hours before our bus left to Casa.
So, we stayed in the beach, reading, chilling. ;)

The way to CAsablanca were a hussle... 6-7 hours in the bus..oh boy...

And agian, bakc to Casablance - we saw the medina, central market, etc.
But.. Casablanca is not that beautiful.

11. day Casablanca - Geneva

Our last day, we ran to visit the Hassan II. Mosque - a true masterpiece - amazing.

Than again, we had to run to catch our plane to Geneva, it was amazing. I was exciting some kind of a compensation, let's say, a free accomodation in Gap, or that they make my second train wait...
But this.... was shoxking.

This would never happen in Hungary.

So, finally, I got to Puy Saint Vincent (after the train I should get a bus as well... the traveling took me like 20 minutes.. in serpentie obviously... So i was very close to ... well..whatever...

When I got to the place... it was amazing: everywhere snow, and white, and huge huge mountains... oh.. loved it.. and of course Kristof and David was already waiting. ;)

The guys who I was supposed to take care of... ;)
Well... actually, it happened on the other way around.. they took care of me... cooked for me (best dishes...), helped me with the luggages, took care of me in the slopes, in the parties, even let me play UNO all day... ;)
Not to mention all the other great things, I learnt form the guys...

Guys, thanks a lot!! hahahaha...
And, yes, I know, you did all, what I should have done... but you guys were just simply...the best :)

Betti reserved a room for us, I was very glad for that too... as I defintily didn't want to sleep on the corridor... as Balazs and Farky did... ;)

Actually, I have to say my friends didn't really like the food that I brought with me... I know.
So, here I am...back from Snowattack - skiing week in France - it deserves an other post... ;)

On February 8th there was a referendum held in Switzerland for extending the right of EU citizens to live and work in Switzerland...actuallly it was for renewing the already existing agreement allowing migrant workers into Switzerland and extending it to Bulgaria and Romania.

Despite all the negative campaign, swiss voted yes...
59,6% of the voters backed this deal.

It was quiet a big deal.. as the EU has already indicated, if Switzerland would vote "No", the EU would use the guillotine clause and will cancel also the first package of bilateral agreements.

There were some very interesting negative campaigns as well... mainly by the ultra-rightist Swiss People's Party.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_XakJNdsXz7s/SY9rU1y4iyI/AAAAAAAAAqo/gQJuuv6vV4A/s320/swissref4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300573292220418850" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_XakJNdsXz7s/SY9rUl-_JYI/AAAAAAAAAqQ/mizeanB3cdE/s320/swissref.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300573287976215938" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_XakJNdsXz7s/SY9rU5PcN-I/AAAAAAAAAqw/plJfOk-qzOc/s320/swissref5.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300573293145503714" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_XakJNdsXz7s/SY9rU4ydWMI/AAAAAAAAAqg/WVUxsctklGs/s320/swissref3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300573293023942850" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_XakJNdsXz7s/SY9rU_FVeCI/AAAAAAAAAqY/A6NoLcGbmZk/s320/swissref2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300573294713731106" />

I understand that in this economic downturn swiss are also afraid of a huge wave of immigrants, and that poor romanians and bulgarians are taking the jobs instead of the swiss, since eastern europeans are cheaper labour.

However, the free movement goes on the other way around too... Swiss people are allowed to work in the EU as well, and cancelling all the bilateral agreement would not help the trade within the EU too...

Actually, it goes like this:
- you earn the most if you graduated in St. Gallen University
- then the rest of the swiss universities
- then the french people
- then the rest of the world...

So, of course, the fear of huge influx of eastern europeans is understandable...Havashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01923215722326180840noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7013211791759369267.post-3556733369163553452009-01-11T00:30:00.003+01:002009-02-09T23:37:47.107+01:002009<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; I would say...

We have the year-end closing, H2 closing, the new fiscal year quota setting, quota load, deployment guidelines, training to the countries, etc. Really interesting, but tough period. However, I don't want to complain, because this is how I like working.
Under stress.
I know that as I am so lazy, I don't do anything till it is not burning..
Than I am working on 200%...
Ok, some may say the key is time management.
I agree... I do...
But it doesn't work for me.
I tried several methods, DO-IT lists, prioritizing, rating methods, still... my best performance is under pressure! :)

That's why I was happy - ok a little bit threatened too - when my new boss arrived to Geneva for a 2-days training.

IT WAS AMAZING!!!

You know, when there is a really good manager in the team, a teamleader... he might not understand anything at all what u are doing... but he has always key questions:
- Who is accountable for that? (RACI questions...)
- What is the aim of this...?
- What is the process/the flow?
- Who and how will control it?

You can always apply those questions.
And it was so great to see our team working together, really working together, in one conference room for 2 days, having real face-to-face meetings.
I totally understand the aim of HALO room (a great product of HP), I get it that we have travel freeze, but still... u can not compare the efficiency of a f2f meeting with a netmeeting or a virtual classroom training... :) Not to mention the evening team dinner ;)
Matching the voice to the face..getting to know some gossips about your team leader ;)

back to serious again:
At the end basically we are all analysts.
At yes, we do things by heart...
And we forgot to stop and THINK OUT OF THE BOX!

And yes, here we are again... aiesec...
;)

And basically Sales Compensation EMEA is the same as aiesec.
(We are going to have a great inner meeting in Germany... and for that we have to prepare our communication and marketing strategy... to reach out for the sales force... very very familiar tasks to what we did in aiesec... ;))

Anyways, so coming back to the big boss...
Amazing, how he can turn things up side down... just with asking those basic questions...
Than with that motivation speech he delivered at the end of the 2 days training...
Well yes, that's why he is the manager, and we are the analysts.

And.. also really amazing, that 3 days passed, and the motivation is back again to normal, our way of thinking is back again to normal. Why???
I want him back! :)

Ok, I think it will help when we get our own direct manager... and we won't be anymore a headless team... :)))

And also about the economic crisis that we are all facing now...
Well, in Switzerland you can also feel it... ;)
Ok, not at all in the same level as in Hungary for example, but definitely impacts our work as well. Who wants to buy a new printer now?? When the growth of countries are slowing down? China for example as well...
Or in the Middle East and Africa... the fastest growing region was dropped by 20%...
shocking...

Or when the political situation is not that stable in a country... how can you set a terget for your sales force knowing all those facts?
How can u implement new compensation schemes?

Don't even mention the exchange rates... $ against €...
Hmm... nice... work is great! ;)Havashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01923215722326180840noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7013211791759369267.post-76348275475187354512008-10-14T23:59:00.004+02:002008-10-20T21:21:29.700+02:00Going out in Geneva 2Hmm... long time I haven't written anything...
well.. it was because every weekend basically was the same
What's more, not just the weekends but party from Thursday till Saturday... 3 days in a row... with a Friday working day in the middle...
hmm...

Where to go on a Thursday night?

- Well, first choice would be: Mulligans
Nice, charming, irish pub, with an old friend behind the bar...

Live music, good music... roll and rock :) Beatles as well as other older hits...

It was soo funny, somehow I always wanted to go there... I know Anthony's favorite place was this pub, but somehow the timing was never good for me...
So, the first time when I went there, I bumped into one of my old schoolmate from the french course.
Thanks to my great face memory, (not that it was so difficult to remember an old guy, around 45, gray hairs, deep, deep cigarette and alcohol voice...yes, my type indeed...) I immediately recognized him...
So, I was like: "Helloooo.... what a surprise!!"
Yes, he didn't have a clue.. who am I...
So, i continued... "You don't remember me, do you? French class.. Migros.. 2 months ago??"

And than he realized... i am that Hungarian who was always talking about the famous paprika pálinka, that he almost has to taste on the very last class... :)

So we started talking, and it turned out that he works there... hahaha
Cool! :)
hmm in the meantime i got to know that he went back to Holland, sth happened to the girl he lived with... anyways, i got to know the other guy behind the bar..we played paintball together :)

- Other option would be: Lady G - Lady Godiva, the English pub...

And now, as the beer of the months is Becks... and the price is also good... the pub is getting better and better :)
With good, more nowadays hits music! :)
The pub usually comes up with an idea or a theme for the night: "End of the world party"(=CERN), "Russian night" (=yes, cheap vodka...), "UN party night"(=it was more a usual party...) etc.

- For more than just a beer... visit Shakers.

Actually, I like this place, even if the entrance costs 20 CHF... The entrance fee covers 1 drink (you should choose either Kamikaze or Sex in the sky cocktail...) but this club remained smoking free.... even if now the clubs can decide on their own whether smoking is allowed or not in thier venue...
However, last Saturday the DJ was crap... probably he was drunk too... don't know.. but terrible...

During weekdays they are throwing partys like: Erasmus/Student party, with student friendly prizes of course...

- Krazy party in Crystal

Hmm.. Julia's graduation party... on 2 October...

Sarah (she also graduated on that day), me, Julia, Sylvie, Zuzana in the HEI parc...(i lived in this parc... :P)

yes..then we went for dinner THAN definitely a great party...
free champagne for the girls before midnight... :)

Sylvie, me, Rachna, Julia, Ravaka, Kenza

Than the others went to Java.. but that was on a Thursday... hm Friday workday.. i am not that cool.. yet.. oh boy... ;)

- Sometimes on Fridays, there is Lady's night in Bypass.

That means whole night = free champagne... OR.. any cocktail or other drink for 1 CHF!!!
OH MY GOD!! 1 CHF!!!

Ok, the place is not really my taste.. neither the music..
but for 1 CHF a cocktail... ;) (ok, they didn't have gin nor vodka when we were there... so had to survive the night with "bakeszkokesz"... :D)

- This Saturday we tried MOA... but... there was such a huge queue... amazing...
And it is more out of Geneva... so even if the music is good, we didn't wait.. rather went to La SIP...
3 girls, normal clothes, nothing fancy, and still we got in.. :)
Yes, u should pretend as if u are always going there and getting in... ;)

And my favorite Monday-quote:

"Oh, boy... what a weekend again!" ;)

Havashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01923215722326180840noreply@blogger.com0
