Sushi, Maki sushi, sashimi
I am not a sushi-virgin anymore. :)
Yes, I ate row fish, with rice and alga yesterday!! ;)
The place was called "No sushi", hahaha, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was amazing :)
There was music, TV, high bar chairs, and the food was moving on a conveyor belt like in a factor on an assembly line, the different type of food was on different color of plate, and you could take whatever you wanted, than at the end, the waiter came and counted according to the color of the plates...
It was very cool!!!
First, Swati and Julia was really patient and nice to me... they were staring at me only once... if I can handle the chopsticks... (come on, I do knit...) ;)
We made the soy sauce with wasabi... I got to know that it is rude if you waste the sauce, and the sauce is more fore the fish part, not the rice...
Of course, I was using the sauce with everything...
So, here are some more tips I got to know about sushi etiquette...
http://sushinow.com/etiquette.htm
Of course, the first rule says: Do not "whittle" your chopsticks... ;)
Hahaha... you could guess what Swati had to do to my chopsticks...
I also got to know the different types of sushi:
Maki sushi are rolls of sushi;
Temaki is a hand roll of sushi;
Sashimi is raw fish with no rice;
I tried salmon, tune, caviar and chicken as well :)
Traditional one and really spciy one.. I liked the California roll as well - which is definitly not for 1 bite... ;)
And of course, just to be traditional Japanese.. we drunk beer.... no comment :)
To sum up, I liked the sushi, but definitely can not compete with the Hungarian cuisine...
hehehe... I know I have to cook finally for my friends here!
And I do it, no more excuses... promise! :)

A little bit of everything
Finally I got a small studio and I moved in.
So, I promise (ok, I hope) I won't write anymore about the accommodation/real estate situation in Geneva. That is boring.
Just to give you an idea about my place: It is small, 25 m2, however I have a bathroom with a BATH!!! So, now I can go to lush :)
On Saturday I was cleaning and packing and moving and all this stuff.

What's going on here?
It is kind of funny that I will get all my information about my family from the newspaper...
:(
- My brother organized a huge Football cup in my city! :)
- My father was also in the newspaper.
- Maybe my cousin's husband will go to Austria... and work there! :)
- My aunt...don't even talk about him.
Nice.... I should go home and catch up with them...seems that I have lots to do...Shame on me...but on them too... :(
I've never realized how famous my family is...I am proud of them!!! :)

Living in the past...
I don't know what's going on with me...
On Thursday night I had a really great night with my best friends in Hungary... we were online-drinking ;)
I really missed them, and it was good to talk a little bit finally.
Than later I was surfing on youtube, and found several interesting videos..
For example this one:
I think the techique is amazing.
Ok, for my international readers... ;)
So, the guy is Pal Szecsi, who was a very very famous singer in Hungary in the 1960-70's.
He had an amazing voice. He had a very tragical childhood, and he tried to commit suicide several times later in his life, at the age of 30, he died...(also by suicide...)The 8th attempt was basicly "successfull".
With this song ("Just one dance...") he won in 1967 in a Hungarian Songfestival. Actually, he was always a "topic" in Hugary, he had really a loads of fun, obviuosly girls, women, who always wentr to his grave and brought him flowers, chochlates, etc. Also, women tried to commit suicide next to him...
The girl is a nowadays star singer... if I am right...
And the Hungarian TV channel did this technical trick...great!
I really like this song...

Is there any deeper???
Could that be even worst?
Not just the Olympics for Hungary, but... everything...
It is just...
NOT FAIR!
AT ALL!!!
Yes, the Olympics...now it is not for Hungary, we don't have luck, we are really bad, we are not in the mood, maybe also this "we-finally-have-to-win-a-gold-medal" feeling freaks everybody out, creates a really uncomfortable atmosphere among the sportplayer, but also that like both sportmen fell off their horses??? We lose in water polo with the penalties??? And we have never won any medal at the Olympics with female water polo...even though we won on World Champions leageu, worldcup, etc. We lose in female handball? Not even lose, but we play really bad! REALLY BAD!
We can not blame everything on the judges...
Ok, it is a fact, they are always against us.
And yes, I know it is harsh, but yes, they are always against us! Commeon, you have to live with that, we always knew we can not count on the referees... ALWAYS....
I really really hope that as of today, our bad luck is over.
I really hope that tomorrow for the flatwater canoe and kayak we gonna do our best, and simply just manage to do the "compulsory task".
And what really makes me sad is that people are now taking it to political level.
Obviously the government didn't support enough the sport.
And the ratio behind that is some fluffy bureaucratic changes what was mad by the current government. As earlier Sport had a Ministry, now it is only a portfolio...
????
COMMEON!!!!
Andras (the Cheese, a.k.a the Csiz), my college and a friend of mine made a report:
Which country won the most gold medal since 1896 in the Summer Olympics Game, if we take into consideration the number of Games each ctry was participated and its population.
:)
It has of course it is own constraints, but it is a really cool report. Maybe I can share some inputs...
1. Estonia
2. Finland
3. Bahamas
4. HUNGARY
;)
From one of my favorite quote:
"Snowflakes - tiny, flying petal miracles"
(A hópelyhek - apró repkedő sziromcsodák!)*
*(If somebody knows a better translation, pls let me know, as I am not sure if this makes any sense as it is a literal translation...)
Of course, if we take into consideration the results of the Winter Olypmics as well, the result would be SLIGHTLY different...
Anyways, so... let's just all hope for tomorrow and Saturday!

Olympics 2008 Beijing
I simply just can not believe it!
It is sooo typical.. Hungary is living in the past... and try to live from its gloriuos past...
Ok, it is not necessarily only about sport, because I could mention the politics as well...but still... now what annoys me... is the sport...
The Olympics 2008!
What the hell is going on???
We used to be the swimming nation.... or rather the water-nation...
Ok, the canoe and kayak has not started yet (flatwater) I have all my hope there...
Cseh Laci is amazing... even if Phelps is here...and he won everything...still, he is the "Silver- guy".
And nobody can win against Phelps...
(Ok, dopping is an other question...but... let him be true...let him be the historic icon for americas sport and for swimming as well)
But where are the our other swimmers???
Or where is the fencing team? (you know, Aida or our team???" We loose always...
And than all the news and the media keeps telling about the glorious past...and that the politicians ruined everything.. no money...
"Little money, little football"
Well, yes..no money, no Olympics..
The Hungarian Olympic Committee is nowadays only a travel agency...
Yes, ok, I agree, you need support (financial, and political as well...) but to get support you need results, you can deliver results, if you have appropriate cricumstances to prepare, professional teams, etc that helps you duting the preparatino,, and for that you need money...
But still... where are those outstanding individuals???
Some of them are stars already, or working in a fancy club in abroad, and don't care about the Olympics anymore???
They play very egoistic... if at all they play...
What's wrong with the Hungarian handall team??
GIRLS!! WAKE UP!!!
We have to win against Romania!!!
Ok, I remember, usually that's the same with the waterpolo as well...
During the group matches we sucks, than when it is about death or live, we win..
And, do not dare to blame it on the judges or politicians or past or whatever!!!
Leave them alone!!
Why is it so hard to say: "Yes, we didn't play 100%, I was not there mental, I sucked... our defense was a catastrophe, we didn't concentrate!"
Why should we say that the judges were against us, they didn't give us any fore, the yalways send out with fault all our members, etc???
Come on.. the judges can help a team, true, but not 11 goals... for the second time as well...
conspiracy..
all the judges are against us...
Oh I am so pissed of, and disappointed...
At the end, though, I really hope we are going to win...
1-1 gold medals in water polo and handball, and way more medals in canoe and kayak...
As in Athen...

Fete de Geneve and a boat trip
The Fete de Geneve is over.
It is so strange, as it was 1 year ago, when Eszter and me went to Marseille, then we came back together to Geneva, and watched the fireworks together.
So, while I was watching the fireworks, I was thinking about the last 1 year...
So many things happened...
And on the other hand: so few things happened...
How did I spend this previous last year? If I have to sum up my last year, actually nothing really moved forward...
But, maybe later, I will see these months, these events in my life differently... ;)
On Friday we went out.
Ok, I wanted to go out... but at the end we didn't...
We were drinking and talking at RDL.
We played "I have never..." :)))
So, I got to know some friends a it more... ;)
Good game!
Than on Saturday we went for a boat trip to Versoix. :)
This time we took the car... not the bikes ;)

The Spanish guys: Jose, David and Ravaka
Drink or drive???
Drink or drive???
I was driving the boat!!! Poor Daniel, he was really patient, explaining me the "physics of the waves..."..stilll... ;)
jajajajaja... it was sooo much fun!!! :)
Actuallly, the idea of renting a boat came from the will to watch the fireworks from a boat!!!
It would have been soo great... but.. imagine, for that day (I mean, the very last day of Fete de Geneve, for the fireworks day) all the boats are reserved till 2012!!! 4 years ahead!!! Crazy Geneva!!!
We could have reserved a boat for 2013... for a Rue De Lyon Reunion...! ;)
It was really great day... the sun was shining, the view was perfect, the waves were ok for my stomach ;)
After a 1,5 hour boating, we had to go back to Geneva for the fireworks... actually we had a "little" traffic jam, as everybody wanted to head to the city center... so, even though Versoix is 15 minutes maximum by car, for us the way back took more than 45 minutes... amazing...
But than we had a great place, from where we could see the fireworks:

The 1 hour long fireworks
During the fireworks I was analyzing my life, my 16 months in Switzerland, thinking about my future, my options, etc. And than, somehow my thoughts went forward to the noise of the fireworks. You know, when the rackets are going in the air, it is loud, and yes, it sounds like guns, or like real rackets...
I was thinking about Georgia and Russia.
I am here in Geneva, listening to that noise, and I am happy and satisfied. And than for somebody that noise doesn't mean the joy, happiness and beauty...
on the contrary...
It was a strange feeling.

My great weekends...
Hmm.. I don't really understand, why only the weekends are great?
My "worklife" is sooo boring....
Anyways...
Last weekend we had an other sporty weekend... with biking in the rain...;)
I hope Ikran didn't get the virus because we were cycling around 1,5 hours in the rain...
First, the plan was to go till Versoix. This nice, small town is around 8 km "far" from Geneva. :)
But of course for my very sporty friends, it was a little bit easy, so we decided to meet in the next town, which supposed to be Coppet...
Yes, but Andras is sooo great with the orientation (khm.. the pot calling the kettle black...), anyways, so we went till Nyon. Which is 23 km far from Geneva.
I really enjoyed the bike-trip!!!
Have you seen my perfect biking-outfit? Yes..typical...
Than check Andras' out!
And we even talked about doing a bike-trip around the Lac Léman... That would be something.... ;)
We will see...
Than, on Sunday, we went to Chamonix... in the bottom of Mont Blanc.
First, I didn't want to go there, as Chamonix is for the winter, it is a really famous ski resort.
How stupid I was!
OMG!!!
Chamonix is sooo amazing, and Daniel, the expert of the place explained me, that Chamonix is even more visited during the summer than in winter.
We went up with a téléféric till 1900 m, than to the famous "Lac Blanc" we had to hike up till 2400 m! Among rocks!!! :)
But it was amazing...breathtaking view!!!
The funniest was: on our way up to the mountain, we saw 4 guys... with the perfect hiking.outfit ever... seriously, helmet, perfect shoes, clothes, etc.
We were 4 girls... Eszter and me had our "petitit sac", Ikran's T-shirt was not sporty at all!!! :)
And Julie was also very girly... absolutely not for hiking!!
It was soooo funny! :)
But, just enjoy the photos:

Canyoning - Interlaken ;)
I thought that weekend worth having 2 different posts...
Ok, and last time I didn't have time to upload all the photos... :)))
Canyoning was also great...We had to wear funny, dirty and really smelly clothes... and a helmet.. I was "Frog", alies frogy... Eszti had "Fairy"... :)
Well... no comment...
Everything started with a 50 m high rappel... with the rope we had to go down to the river... :)
Than we did several jumps, jump into waterfalls, slidging down the rocks, or just using the ropes...
Here is our group, who survived:
